A Message From Me, The Creator

A Message From the Creator

Welcome to The Village Hub. I’m Lacey, an early childhood educator, training supervisor, mother, lifelong learner, and the creator behind this growing collection of resources.

My journey into childcare began during a difficult chapter of my life. I could not have known then how deeply the children, families, and educators I met would affect me. Working with children gave me purpose, helped me heal, and taught me that every child has something to show us when we take the time to look beyond the surface.

Every child I have cared for has been one of my teachers. Every family has reminded me that people carry stories and challenges we may not be able to see. I have learned that behaviour is communication, crying is not misbehaviour, and the adults caring for children need understanding and support too.

As an educator, training supervisor, and mother, I kept noticing the same need: families and educators were looking for practical information they could understand and actually use. Helpful research and child-development information existed, but it was often scattered, difficult to understand, or hard to apply during an already busy day.

I created The Village Hub to bring those ideas together and turn them into compassionate, practical, research-informed resources. My goal is not to tell parents or educators that there is only one right way to support a child. It is to offer knowledge, ideas, tools, and possible strategies that can be adapted to real children, real families, and real situations.

I also have ADHD. My mind is often filled with connections, ideas, questions, and possible solutions all at once. Sometimes the challenge is not having the ideas—it is slowing them down, organizing them, and turning them into something another person can easily use. Supportive technology, including AI-assisted tools for spelling, organization, and clarity, helps me capture and communicate ideas that might otherwise remain unfinished. The experience, compassion, research, and final decisions behind each resource remain my own.

The Village Hub is being created for the educator who needs a practical tool, the parent who wants to better understand their child, the supervisor supporting a team, and anyone who has ever felt unsure, overwhelmed, or judged while trying to do their best for a child.

I do not have every answer, and I do not believe one resource will work for every child. What I can offer is a place built with care, curiosity, continued learning, and the belief that we are stronger when knowledge and support are shared.

Thank you for allowing The Village Hub to become part of your village.

See the Child. Support the Caregiver. Build the Village.
